For Widlaine Casseus, giving back means helping someone else begin.
Widlaine Casseus, RN, BSN
Founder, Bright Care Academy · Randolph, Massachusetts
Widlaine Casseus is a registered nurse, an entrepreneur, and a mother of four. In 2024, she brought another role into that picture: founder of Bright Care Academy, an occupational school helping people in her community prepare for careers in healthcare.
Her decision to build a school grew out of a journey she knew personally. As an immigrant, she had navigated a new country, pursued her education, and worked her way through nursing school.
Now, in Randolph, Massachusetts, she is drawing on that experience to support others at the beginning of their own path.
A school built around the beginner
Starting a new career involves more than choosing a course. It can mean learning unfamiliar material, asking questions, and developing confidence in skills that will eventually matter to someone else’s care.
Bright Care Academy offers training for nursing assistants (CNA) and home health aides (HHA). Its student-centered approach includes one-on-one review and personalized guidance, with the aim of helping each student understand the material rather than simply move through it.
That emphasis connects Widlaine’s experience as a nurse with her purpose as a founder: preparing people to care for others while supporting them through the learning process.
“for the love of giving back to my community.”

Preparing for the step after training
The academy’s focus extends beyond classroom instruction. Its website describes the school as a state exam testing site and outlines résumé-building support and job placement assistance for graduates.
These resources support the transition from learning toward work. They are not guarantees of certification or employment, but they reflect a practical concern: what happens when a student is ready to take the next step?
For a founder motivated by community service, that question is part of the work.
Experience with somewhere to go
Widlaine’s story offers a particular view of entrepreneurship. Rather than stepping away from her professional background, she has built something that draws on it.
Her nursing experience gives the academy its professional context. Her own educational journey helps explain its emphasis on support. Her stated love for her community gives the venture its purpose.
Being a nurse, a founder, and a mother of four are distinct parts of her life. The school does not need to stand in for all of them. It is one expression of what she has chosen to make available to others.

A note from DaHo
To Widlaine: Thank you for making room for someone else’s beginning.
What I admire in your story is the choice to turn professional experience into something others can use. You know the path into nursing because you walked it. With Bright Care Academy, you are helping others find a starting point of their own.
That connection between experience and service deserves recognition. Congratulations on what you are building, and welcome to Featured Founders.
Keep caring. Keep teaching. Keep opening doors.
